Another Aspect

Another Aspect began in Copenhagen in 2019 with a straightforward reaction to excess. Three founders — Daniel Brøndt, Anders Poulsen, and Nicolaj Thomsen — set out not to chase trends, but to make the everyday pieces people actually reach for again and again. Their phrasing is characteristically plain: “Ideas of everyday elements. Use them always.”

The brand treats shirts, jeans, knits, and tailoring as a living library. Core styles stay in the collection and are refined over time — a change in fabric, a stitch, a proportion — rather than replaced by seasonal novelty. The first shirt Another Aspect released still embodies the principles that define the brand today: a relaxed silhouette, great fabric speaking for itself, no overdesign. Co-founder Daniel Brøndt puts it simply: “We don’t add a detail if it doesn’t have any function.”

This is Danish design thinking applied to clothing: function and form sitting together without strain. Clean lines, practical details, and a restrained palette let the materials carry the weight. Recycled fibers, deadstock fabrics, and organic cotton are used not as marketing points but as the baseline. Production follows the same logic — shirts and tailoring in Porto, knitwear with a family factory in Florence, select pieces interpreted in Japan — with transparency and specialised makers preferred over scale.

The result is clothing that resists the pressure to announce itself. Some might call it quiet, even boring; Brøndt would rather describe it as “considered, practical and enduring.” Longevity here is not a slogan. It is the practical outcome of choosing well in the first place — buying less, but better.
